​Project Background:

The QueensWay has been an abandoned LIRR rail line for decades, and our project aims to support NYCEDC in revitalizing this corridor.

 

The site spans 3.5 miles and covers 47 acres of City-owned land, all formerly part of the LIRR Rockaway Beach Branch rail line. While the City maintains ownership, NYCEDC is leading the development efforts. Our team is working to bring innovative strategies to this long-awaited transformation.

We concentrate on the Atlantic Avenue intersection area, focusing on four key aspects - resilience, health, mobility, and accessibility.
